Jordan, That receiver has about nine different controls that adjust the sound of the bass, including subwoofer level, bass boost, bass EQ center frequency and level, and a low-pass filter. You'll need to experiment with each one to hear what effect it has on the sound in order to dial in the best tone.

This is a free web tool that allows you to boost the bass of a song making it more bass heavy. With this tool you can create the bass boost effect without having any knowledge in audio engineering.

Bass boosted songs are often played on car speakers but you can of course also enjoy your bass boosted songs on your headphones or on your home audio system.

Multiple boost levels

We have created multiple boost levels for you to chose from depending on how big you want the boost to be.

Computers produced in the late 1990s and early 2000s often shipped with relatively low quality speaker systems that did not produce much bass. Many HP desktop and laptop computers made since the mid-2000s, though, include audio systems that use bass-enhancing features for a richer listening experience. While the extra bass produced by these systems is appropriate in some applications, it may be overpowering or distracting in others. Consequently, virtually all HP systems enable you to lower bass volume to suitable levels.

HP Systems with Beats Sound

Step 1

Press 'Windows+I,' and then click 'Control Panel.'

Step 2

Click 'Hardware and Sound,' then 'HP Beats Audio Control Panel.'

Step 3

Click the 'Playback' tab, and then click 'Equalization' in the navigation pane.

Click and hold the slider control labeled 'Bass.' As you hold the left mouse button, slide the control downward to reduce the bass level.

HP Systems with IDT Audio Chipset

Step 1

Press the 'Windows+I' keys, and then click 'Control Panel' in the Settings charm.

Step 2

Click 'Hardware and Sound,' and then select 'Sound.'

Step 3

Click the 'Playback' tab, and then select 'Speakers and Headphones – IDT High Definition Audio CODEC.'

Step 4

Click the 'Properties' button, and then click the 'Tone Controls' tab.

Click and hold the 'Bass' slide control. Slide the control downward to reduce the amount of bass produced by the audio system.

HP Systems with Realtek Audio Chipset

Step 1

Click 'All Control Panel Items' on the Start screen, and then click 'Sound.'

Step 2

Click the 'Playback' tab, and then highlight the 'Speakers – Realtek High Definition Audio' device.

Step 3

Serial daemon tools pro. Click the 'Properties' button, and then click 'Enhancements.'

Step 4

Enable the 'Equalizer' option in the Enhancements list. Click the '…' button next to the 'Setting' drop-down list. The Graphic EQ window opens.

Step 5

Slide the '31,' '62,' '125' and '250' frequency controls downward to reduce the bass output levels for those frequencies.

Click the 'Save' button to save the new equalization settings.

Tips

• If you do not know the type of audio chipset in your HP system, you can find out by opening Device Manager. To do this, open Control Panel, and then click 'Hardware and Sound.' In the Hardware and Sound window, click the 'Device Manager' link under the Devices and Printers header. In the Device Manager hardware list, click the 'Sound, Video and Controllers' value to view the type of audio chipset installed in your HP computer.
• Some legacy HP desktop and laptop computers do not use the above audio chipset types mentioned. For older systems with legacy audio chipsets, download and install the HP Tone Control utility to adjust bass and treble frequencies.
