Mechwarrior Living Legends Controls
Mechwarrior Living Legends Controls Locations
Just were I was talking about how close Walking War Robots is to Mechwarrior in another thread I'm curious to see how many people would play a Mechwarrior shooter if it was available to Android and ios?
Loading editorI tried WWR out only because I played MW. EA owns Activision? EA has a bad rep when it comes to mobile games?
Loading editorto me WWR IS the mechwarrior equivalent to IOS
mechwarrior is way more complex controls wise and is just impossible to play with a phone touch screen.
WWR has auto aim for a good reason..
Loading editorTechnically Mechwarrior is owned by Smith & Tinker but is currently leased by Piranha games for the current Mechwarrior Online PC game, I have been into the Mechwarrior/Battletech scene for over 21 years and your right if it was like the PC games it would be impossible to play but if you look at the history of the games Mechwarrior did do a series for the Xbox called Mechassault 1&2 and even one version for the Nintendo DS, there was no customization of those mechs tho and it had unlimited ammo so it was less complex but if they did make a Mechwarrior for android/ios it would/should be a mix between the Mechwarrior&Mechassault series with simple customization options for weapons like on WWR
How to remove activate windows watermark windows 10. Only factory OEM systems that ship with Windows 8/8.1 or Windows 10 pre installed will have them. Also, an off the shelf motherboard that you'd buy at Newegg for example, won't have an embedded key. Just a heads up for future reference.

WWR is no where near MechWarrior aside from you are piloting a robot. WWR is more like a simple tank game really.
However, as the commenter said above, there's no way to put the controls and telescopic view (for precision strikes on legs or weapons that MechWarrior has) on a tiny iPhone screen --- so this is probably as close as you can get.
The thing that makes WWR more like a basic tank game us that there's no weight, storage capacity (for ammo), heat handing (heat sinks for energy weapons) that MechWarrior has. You have to figure Pixonic looked at all this, but those things had to left out to make games easy to control and last only 10 minutes. Sure, I like like ammo and energy weapon limitations, as this would make the game more a thinking person's game (it's kinda brainless the way EP Magnums work).
If something better comes along, I'd probably try it, but for now WWR is it.
Loading editorI'm guessing you didn't just see my last post about Mechassault that is a spinoff of Mechwarrior so it is possible it just would have less features than the original and current Mechwarrior PC games

That was the first Mechassault gameplay, now the only thing that would be changed is the ability to customize the mechs but in simple terms, a light weapon can only be switched out for a different light weapon and so on for medium and large weapons, something like this could be run on a moble platform with a tuch screen. Maybe take away the power ups and possibly make it so you have ammo dependency on the weapons that would have that like Auto cannons, Gauss, Long range/Short range missiles and so on (it will take a long time to list all the weapons there are). I know I'm just dreaming but its a possible dream
Loading editorPixonic did look at this but they did not leave it out because they could not do it they left it out because they could get sued for it.
Loading editorI wasn't a huge fan of mechassault. As a Battletech and Mechwarrior fan, it frustrates me when it gets oversimplified and yet I know there is much more to the game, back story and genre.
It's not impossible, but I would demand to be able to cockpit shot any bot with a gauss rifle.
There WAS a MechCommander game for iOS and it was really fun. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to stick to Battletech lore.
Loading editorUnfortunately there has never been a full Battletech game for anything system besides the Mechwarrior Living Legends mod, I wish they would have done that as a full game instead of Mechwarrior Online, it would be fun to take out a aerospace fighter for ground attacks against a mech.I did see they did make a MechCommander like game tho the reviews on it said it was ridden with issues that plus I'm a Android user is keeping me from it.I did enjoy both Mechassaults very much but I do agree it would have been better if done differently like get rid of the powerups for one, adding customization for the mechs and yes different view would be nice too.
Loading editorThe MechCommander game DID have some issues and bugs. But it had an engaging storyline that followed the lore of Battletech and was stil quite fun to see the familiar mechs. Everything from Mad Cats to Victors and everything in between.
Loading editorIf you had a tablet or pad Mechwarrior would be cool. Not all games are optimized for a phone anyway. I.E., picture is too small.
