Some new laptops don't even give you access to the battery or HDD anymore unless you remove the entire real cover. Your choice: run on AC with battery - battery kicks in when AC is removed. Run on battery without ever having AC attached. Run on AC with battery removed - computer will crash off of AC is removed. Feb 12, 2019 - I plan to use this machine as a “Desktop PC” until it completely stops. Bottom line: You can indeed run your laptop without a battery for as long. You can run it without battery if you like, however if you have the 65 watt adapter, then your system performance will be affected. If you have the 90 watt adapter then that is okay. However, without battery, you may lose all your work when the power cuts out due to: 1. Accidental unplugging of the power plug.

My battery for my laptop just died and I planning to remove the battery and use my AC charger plug for my laptop to power it on....I am just planning play dota 2, don't starve, League of legends with the ac plug plugged into my laptop..I am just also going to do basic stuff on the internet for half of the time too...
Will there be any negative consenquences?

Can You Use Hp Laptop Without Battery

So i have a Dell Inspiron 7447 (i5-4210H 2.9-3.5, GTX 850M, 4GB RAM)
I've seen some posts saying that removing the battery is better, because it will save battery life, my gaming performance will be better, and it is recommended to use a laptop without batteries.
I have some questions tho;
1. How do you do this? There's not a lot of tutorials on youtube.
2. Is this safe? Some say when i plug my battery back it'll say 'battery permanently broken' or smthn.
3. Will this really improve gaming performance? I noticed that when i play games without charging the laptop, i get about 190+ FPS on Counterstrike, and 120-160 while charging.
